Timeline : Human Origin – 1

1 4.4 Million BC : Australopithecine , the first human like creatures to walk upright, appear.
2 2.5 Million: Homo Habilis (“Handy Man”) appears in Africa . It uses simple tools, the start of the Paleolithic or Old Stone Age.
3 1.8 Million : Homo sapiens (“Wise Man”) appear in Africa. It uses sharper tools and fire.
4 750,000 : Homo Sapiens (Wise Man) appears in Africa. These people later spread out into other parts of the world, including China and Indonesia.
5 200,000: The first Neanderthal people appear.
6 125,000: The first modern people, Homo sapiens, appear in Africa.
7 60,000: People first arrive in Australia.
8 40,000: Homo sapiens reaches Europe.
9 35000: The first people begin to cross into America.
10 30000: Neanderthals die out.
11 10000: the end of Ice Age (or its latst coldest phase). The starts of the Neolithic Period , or New Stone Age. Farming begins in Mesopotamia, Some animals domesticated for the first time.
12 8350: The founding of Hericho, the first walled.
13 7000: Cattle Hayuk, propable the largest city of its day , is built in turkey
