Where does Cocoa come from ?

Cocoa is made from the beans which develop in the large pod of cacao tree. Cocoa was drunk by the Aztecs of Central America before Europeans arrived.

The Cacao tree is still grown in areas of Central and south America, but most cocoa now comes from West Africa. The tropical cacao tree grows near the Equator.
